Champagne is romantic and intimidating at the same time. Yet all toasts begin the same; with a full glass of Champagne. Anticipate the celebration with our hand-selected shipments by sommelier and owner of Somm’s Kitchen, Ian Adamo. For those that have dined at the restaurant every night we open multiple bottles of Champagne. It has become a passion, and beyond that comparing and understanding what goes into each bottle is an enjoyment. Join Ian over the next year to taste, learn, and toast with four curated packages delivered directly to your residence or picked up at the restaurant.
METHOD FOR THE COLLECTIVE
Ian has been fortunate to work all over the world both in the kitchen and within the front of the house. From Cambridge University to add to his exceptional wine knowledge, Ian was additionally taught by and worked with Michelin-Starred and James-Beard-awarded chefs in the Kitchen. Wine pairings have become routine, let us toast a little differently. For a treat when guests arrive, passed appetizers, to the main dish, and dessert, you will receive recipes for four courses so you may choose the enjoy a bottle of Champagne when it suites you most.

JUNE Chardonnay vs Pinot Noir based Champagnes
2 Blanc de Blancs & 2 Blanc de Noirs
The Champagne pedigree compromises of three grape varietals; Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. This series showcases the specificity between the bright polish of Chardonnay and the rounder more fruit driven pinot noir. Educating each society member to differentiate each varietal with a fine-tuned ability.
SEPTEMBER Understanding the Different Quality Levels of Champagne
4 traditional method Champagnes
The world spins on an axis of currency dividing the cherished to be priced above the standard. The make, village, and abundance factor into the monetary value of each bottle. Society members will learn to evaluate four Champagnes all classically made with objectively different quality levels to learn exactly what expensive tastes like. Champagne formed the benchmark for sparkling wine. In our last series, society members will explore the lineage of champagne with its mimics. Sample three dissimilar sparkling wines produced in the traditional method however birthed in different geographic regions. Culture influences more than customs, does it not?
MARCH Understanding House Styles

Recognition is the first step for society members: do you comprehend this from that? The palette is assembled from experience, our first series will incorporate the development of your personal favor. Understanding the different house style that makes your tastebuds linger with approving remembrance. Dive into four classically made examples from two big houses and two small grower producers. Notes on place of origin, grapes varietals used, wine making styles, and multiple vintages. Our intention for society members is to walk away understanding the house style that suites you most.
